We are pleased to announce that we are increasing the range of mental health therapies that we offer. As part of this increased offering, we have renamed our Counselling service to the Psychological service. The first new therapy we are introducing in addition to Counselling and Psychotherapy is Advanced EMDR.<\/p>

EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) and is a form of psychotherapy that aims to help people overcome traumatic memories and experiences that are affecting their mental health and wellbeing. EMDR helps process these memories and experiences using bi-lateral stimulation (BLS), such as side-to-side eye movement.<\/p>

EMDR has been recommended as the leading treatment for emotional trauma, including Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and associated symptoms such as stress and anxiety by the World Health Organization and NICE, along with other leading world health bodies. Benefits to your organisation include reduced sickness absence and improved employee health and wellbeing.<\/p>

Heales, together with our lead EMDR Therapist, Adrian Radford-Shute, has developed a new method of identifying trauma and related issues which does not require the employee to talk through\/re-visit each issue, thereby avoiding the potential of triggering issues. This also reduces the number of sessions used to deliver the EMDR to 3 or 4 rather than 8 to 12, thereby reducing time and cost.<\/p>

Our Advanced EMDR process has a very high efficacy rate; however, we offer a range of therapies to meet the needs of all referred employees and will employ a triage process to confirm which type of therapy will be most effective for each case.<\/p>

The cost of Advanced EMDR is \u00a3795 for up to 4 sessions and a report.<\/p>

If your organisation currently has access to the Psychology module, you can refer a Psychology case as normal. If you do not have access, and want access for your main system and\/or portal users (managers) please contact the person responsible for Occupational Health or Psychological services within your organisation, as there may already by services available (albeit not Advanced EMDR).<\/p>
