Want to drink less?

New year, new you??

With the start of a brand new year, now is the perfect time to set some goals, make those resolutions and start afresh!

If one of your goals is to cut down on the alcohol then this post will give you some starting tips.

Cutting down the amount of alcohol you consume can have so many benefits including helping you sleep better, helping with lowering your blood pressure and of course helping with your spending.

Firstly, t’s a good idea to get a handle on how much alcohol you consume in an average week. If you are unsure, there are apps built to help you track your alcohol consumption such as MyDrinkaware App or the DrinkControl app.

There are many ways you cut down on the amount of alcohol you are consuming, for example:

  • Having alcohol free days in the week
  • Alternating alcoholic drinks with non-alcoholic drinks
  • Practice saying no
  • Pacing yourself

But, if like many other adults there are simply not enough non-alcoholic drinks you like the taste of then you could try a no or low-alcohol drink.

A few years ago, many people would turn their nose up at the thought of a non-alcoholic beer but recently the market for non-alcoholic beverages has expanded and developed and now there are several delicious options for non/low-alcoholic beers, wines, gins and cocktails! Most beer brands have a low/non-alcoholic beer.

You can find low/non-alcoholic spirits from brands such as:

  • Seedlip
  • Clean co.
  • Crossip
  • Sea Arch
  • Everleaf
  • Endorphin Dealer Institute
  • and many more can be found in all good supermarkets.
