Time to Talk Day

3rd February 2022 is Time to Talk Day across the UK.

Run by Mind and Rethink Mental Illness in partnership with Co-op.

The aim of Time to Talk Day is to help create supportive communities by having conversations with your friends, family and colleagues around mental health.

Mental health is something that affects all of us with one in four people suffering from a mental health problem in any given year. Problems with our mental health can also lead to feelings of shame and embarrassment which needn’t be the case. By talking about mental health we help to reduce the stigma and understand just how many of us could be feeling similarly. This helps to create supportive communities that can help to change lives.

It doesn’t matter how these conversations are started, face-to-face, over the phone, over a cofee, through a board game, as long as we get these conversations going and help people to feel safer and more open to talk about mental health.
